The village of Orba has retained its traditional Spanish feel, with weekly markets and plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and other amenities such as Banks, Pharmacy and English Video/DVD rental shop. There is also a 24 hour medical centre in the village.

The nearest town is Denia (15 minutes drive) with its tree lined avenue and upmarket shops, bars and restaurants where you can relax outside with a coffee or chill out with a nice glass of wine. Watch the fisherman bring in the day's catch then visit the fishmarket where you can purchase the main ingredient for the evening's BBQ

However, if it's the hustle and bustle of the coastal resorts you seek, they are just a few minutes drive away, with wonderful beaches and a cosmopolitan lifestyle and plenty of nightlife to be found.

Take a beautiful scenic drive through the Jalon valley over the mountains to the historic town of Guadalest and then cool off with a visit to the Algar waterfalls.

For the kids (of all ages) take a trip to the Terra Mitica theme park or Terra Natura the wildlife park. Both are within a 40 minute drive of the villa, near Benidorm.

Golfers are catered for at La Sella, Oliva and Javea courses all within 20-30 minutes drive.

Other activities include Sailing, Windsurfing, Diving, Fishing, Tennis, Horse Riding & Cycling.
